                    Caprock Cluster ACE Fact Sheet



  • The ACE program has been a part of Amarillo ISD since 1994.It began at Palo Duro High School and was implemented at Caprock High School in 2002 and Tascosa High School in 2009.


  • Since the graduating Class of 2006, 47% of students (1519) have graduated from Caprock High School with the ACE Scholarship.


  • Of Caprock High School ACE graduates, there have been 200 college graduates, earning 239 degrees.This includes 75 Bachelor’s degrees, 94 Associate’s degrees, 66 Certificates of Completion, and 4 Master’s degrees.


  • Of our ACE graduates from Amarillo ISD, there have been 820 college graduates, earning 1050 degrees.This includes 422 Bachelor’s degrees, 369 Associate’s degrees, and 212 Certificates of Completion.There have been 40 students who have obtained a Master’s degree and 7 students who have a PhD.


  • Currently, of our 2013 Amarillo ISD ACE graduates, 176 are enrolled at Amarillo College, 72 are enrolled at West Texas A&M University, and 34 are attending other colleges or universities.


  • As of October 1, 2013, there were 1407 eligible ACE students at Caprock High School: 272 seniors, 290 juniors, 348 sophomores, 497 freshmen.


  • For the 2012-2013 school year, there were over 700 All Year ACE Achievers in the Caprock Cluster elementary and middle schools. All Year ACE Achievers have met ACE standards each six weeks for the entire school year.


  • For the first six weeks of the 2013-2014 school year, there were a reported 2190 ACE achievers at Caprock High School feeder schools.


  • At the end of the school year, 5th & 8th grade All Year ACE Achievers are recognized for their commitment to education and awarded with a special field trip to West Texas A&M University.Last year over 200 students from the Caprock Cluster attended this field trip.


  • Since the initial college enrollment of ACE graduates, 68% of students started at Amarillo College and 20.5% started at West Texas A&M University.


  • The Amarillo Area Foundation has paid over 4.6 million dollars in books, fees and tuition.This has been an overwhelming investment in the future of Amarillo ISD graduates.The ACE scholarship program is committed to encouraging students’ post-secondary success by providing access to higher education.
